DR. JAMES WILHELMSEN | PIANO
Fulbright scholar with studies in piano performance, vocal accompanying and chamber music, in Vienna, Austria; former member of the music faculties at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and the Center for Creative Studies Institute of Music and Dance; former member of the Verdehr Trio and Icarus Trio; semi-finalist in duo violin and piano at the Internationaler Musikwettbewerb in Munich, West Germany; owner and director of the Clarkston Conservatory of Music.
Mr. Wilhelmsen has performed widely throughout North America, Europe and Australia, both as soloist and collaborator, and on television, radio and many recordings. He performs frequently with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with many great artists, including Ruggiero Ricci, Aaron Rosand, Ara Berberian, Louise Russell, Eva Likova, Aretha Franklin and Martha Reeves.
